At Shaun Gray Events, we believe your wedding should be a safe, celebratory space where you and your partner can focus solely on the joy of your union, no matter who you are or who you love. As a wedding planning team, inclusivity isn’t just something we mention in passing—it's a pillar of who we are and what we stand for. We’ve had the honor of helping couples from many walks of life celebrate their love, and we’re committed to continuing to provide that space to every couple, regardless of background, gender identity, or orientation.

As you navigate this chapter of your life, we understand that recent events may be raising questions and uncertainties, particularly around the rights and protections for LGBTQ+ couples. We share those concerns, and we want to reassure you: our team is here as your steadfast ally. Even as our world changes, our dedication to being a safe, welcoming, and celebratory space remains unwavering.

Our Commitment to Inclusivity: The Non-Discriminatory Vendor Standard

To make this commitment clear and actionable, we’ve implemented a strict Non-Discriminatory Vendor Standard as part of all client agreements. Here’s what this means:

  • Client Responsibility: As part of working with us, our clients agree not to hire any wedding vendors who publicly discriminate based on race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity. We ask clients to vet potential vendors and ensure they uphold these values before making hiring decisions.

  • Vendor Standards and Accountability: If, during the planning process, it’s discovered that a vendor does not meet this standard, we work with our clients to ensure they pivot to inclusive, supportive options. For us, inclusivity isn’t negotiable; it’s a requirement.

  • Right to Terminate Agreement: Should we find that any vendor does not meet these standards, Shaun Gray Events reserves the right to terminate our contract, with services rendered up to that point billed accordingly. Our commitment to providing a discrimination-free environment is a firm part of our business.

This clause was first implemented after the Supreme Court ruling involving the refusal of service to a gay couple due to religious beliefs, reinforcing our commitment to only work with those who share in our inclusivity. Each step of the way, we’re here to ensure that you can focus on the celebration, knowing your vendors support and reflect your values.

Creating an Inclusive Space for All Couples

Our team has been planning weddings and events long before marriage equality was legally recognized. From the very start, we committed ourselves to creating events that not only bring people together but also celebrate the beauty of each unique couple’s story. Over the years, we’ve supported couples across a wide range of cultures, beliefs, and identities—and we know that every single story is worth celebrating exceptionally.

We’ve curated a portfolio that represents a tapestry of love and diversity, and we’re immensely proud to showcase clients from various backgrounds and orientations who have trusted us to create their dream weddings. When you choose Shaun Gray Events, you’re choosing a team with a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination—a team that is as excited about your wedding as you are, and one that shares in the values of respect, empathy, and celebration of all people.
